Don't you mean it will end in 2018? :D Sept. 2014- Sept. 2018 is, after all, four years. Only TS3 lasted longer than four years and that is because TS4 was delayed a year. I really can't see adding more and more with the bad performance this game is already showing for so many. Whether they have a low grade laptop, a midgrade pc, or a monster gaming machine, this game is suffering performance wise, and ten GPs and seven or eight EPs seems like it might just break it for sure. I expect to hear rumors about the next Sims' project late this year or early next year and not necessarily even part of the series for 'pc'.
I'm not rich at all as who could be with 6 IRL kids, but I hope when they ever get to S5 that they don't skimp. There just comes a time when you have to buck up and get a good gaming computer. It isn't like gaming is all people do with computers and having an up to date one benefits a person in many ways. Keeping Sims games performance low just because some refuse to upgrade is just wrong. Windows changes everytime you blink and people go spend money and get the next version like its nothing. I'm wondering if all the cc and mods people use isn't the problem. I get the things that they fix in their updates, but no issues like you are talking about. Basically, my game works great. I'm an extremely firm believer that cc and mods was the biggest problem for S3 players. Right before Supernatural came out, I knew my game couldn't handle it and I got tired of the babies looking like sticks and took basically all cc except for around 5 things out and I have/had all the store stuff/all EPs/all packs and specials period and never had another problem again. My CAS seemed to be somewhat quicker and I only had my computer drop my game one time and that was when I was putting down black pavement in a large area and I'm no expert, but I assumed it was some time of blue screen issue and I never had a dropped game again with all content running and playing perfect.
I think they need to keep S4 and people should consider the cc and mods when examining why their game isn't working or working right; as I said, my game works fine no cc/mods. I'm not a total lover of S4 by any means, but to lose it any time before we get into the tens of EPs and a c r a p load of gamepacks/stuff packs would just be upsetting to those who have sunk money into it. :)
