They have NEVER recruited publicly about a Sims sequel, it’s all very hush hush.
And they say “new game in The Sims Franchise” and when you put in perspective that it includes games like My Sims, it doesn’t really mean anything at this point.
SimGuruGrant and SimGuruLyndsay aren’t obviously part of this project as they’re hiring for a new Executive Producer, which sounds to me like Grant and Lyndsay will stay on Sims 4, and this will be a whole new project.
I have a feeling we will be seeing a game like “Sims Online 2”, or a franchise like “My Sims” or even a spin off like “The Urbz”
I doubt very much it’s The Sims 5, if they’re only just getting started on the Sims 5 base game, they don’t need an Executive Producer, they’re usually hired just before a game gets ready to be publicly announced.
An Executive Producer isn’t really needed for the initial development of a game, more when they actually have a game ready and need decisions on what to do next, how to promote etc.
They mentioned that its an AAA game, all of those that youre citing are not AAA, they are spin-offs
