I would understand laundry from the get-go, but asking for seasons and pets too is maybe overstepping. The base game might as well be +$100 then.
I think basic weather could be included -- rain showers (so Sims don't have to water their plants), wind and such, then more extreme weather (snow, hail, heavy rain etc.) could come in an expansion, maybe even some natural disasters like flooded basements, power outages, etc., and those could be avoided by taking precautions like buying a battery backup system in case of power outages (could also be connected to solar panels for charging) or a pump for flooding, etc.
I don't think we'll be seeing Sims 5 in 2020, but if we do see it in the future I'd like to see in base game:
- Non-object babies (the Gurus have even said they wanted real babies but ran out of time)
- Basic weather (mainly rain showers but also light winds)
- Color wheel (I'm okay with no patterns)
- More stair types (spiral and L-shaped, or tools to create our own L-shaped stairs
- Teens that don't feel like mini-adults (that could take the place of preteens
- More emphasis on other age stages instead of being all about YAs; adults especially need something to set them apart from YAs other than wrinkles
- Open world if done better than Sims 3 -- I'm okay with loading screens going between worlds (like from Willow Creek to Oasis Springs) but need fewer routing issues
- Terrain tools with ability to build split-level houses, sunken living/dining rooms, etc.
- Pools with more construction options -- curved pieces to make kidney-shaped pools, for example
I also want the ability to toggle features on and off per save -- if I don't want Vampires or Zombies or Aliens in a save, I should be able to turn those features off while having them available in another save.
