The truth about Island Living

There is absolutely no proof of your claims. They may have designed the sliding doors and ceiling fans for the Island expansion and thought it would be a good idea to give them to everyone through an update, just like with the dishwasher. The other assets may have been scrapped ideas from other packs, or maybe a few devs created the assets on their own time. A dev ended up making an object for the Laundry Day stuff pack on the side that didn't get through the voting process. We will probably never know.

Accusing without solid proof is never a good idea. We just don't know enough of the behind-the-scenes details that go on with the development of the game.
