there's a long stretch of beach next to the 50x50 lot that the shipwreck is on when the game starts, if you notice, there's a statue in the shape of a sea turtle on one end of that beach. that's the beach the event is on, when it shows up (again, so far it seems like you need to have your sims actively somewhere on sulani when the announcement pops up or the event won't show)

Ah! Thank you for this info. I've been going to Sulani every time it's announced, but not with residents. I have a Sim living there so I'll wait and hope to see them hatch when I'm playing with that Sim.
