Theory on The Sims 4 Seasons

Big problem with your theory : the stuff packs don't include weather effects.
I don't think they don't know what not including weather would mean to the community, especially after the toddler issue.
It's also been stated that these packs are no hint for a seasons EP and the way it was worded I'm pretty sure they also aren't a replacement.
I do think that having a Halloween SP like Spooky Stuff was kind of meh, since they will probably not focus on the theme of Halloween in the actual EP then.
I mean, they basically took pumpkin carving out of the gameplay possibilities for the EP and stuff like trick-or-treating ( the actual one with running around the neighborhood with a bowl or a bag asking for candy ) was not in the SP, so it will feel incomplete if they're not going to adress that, but focussing on it twice or even rehashing the content would make a lot of people mad.
But it also means they can focus on other aspects of the respective season.
It's really hard for me to decide whether I like this decision they made or not.
