I hope this is still a safe ground for discussion...
First up, yes I am not a program engineer or coder, so yeah I may be less professional in this regard.
The biggest question I think is, "How will seasons be implemented to the current game?" From a trend I've seen from previous EPs, a lot (noted I only use a lot, not all) of stuff are indeed limited in the town which came along with it; that is the reason why I believe the ones saying that the base engine might not host new features may have a point. Furthermore, some decisions made before did backfired the developers; like how new towns not connecting to road inhibits the probability of "universal" vehicles being implemented.
Look at GTW, the work place must be limited in a set place with no way to be extracted out and be usable at the same time (yes I just do not like my Windenburg residents going all the way to desert working as a scientists). And vendors in CL only work automatically in San Myshuno (maybe I think do not know enough to discuss apartments, but huh right?) And do not forget the tweet where a guru said that current ocean will not be swimmable even if they added ocean swimming in the future, because of how "the world was built." For me, this indicates the difficulties of changing the already built areas.
Speaking of tweets, from a person who knows one or two about PR, I think they are pretty standard, open-ended answers. No personal attacks here, I do understand difficulties working in a corporation and there are a whole bunch of standards to follow, and I respect them for what they tried to achieve for this game – reality is reality, and nobody can do much about it. Just saying looking closer to them, they cannot be blamed of lying when in the end they did not deliver, said, a universal weather system.
In the end, I am most certainly welcome if this is solvable, so good day everyone!
