That's the main thing I've been thinking about lately regarding the Sims 4: needs WEATHER. And SEASONS!! I'm kinda really getting sick of perpetually sunny days, each of them with a regular pattern of daylight and nighttime. Where is the rain, the hail, the SNOW!!! Especially with such gorgeous decors and locations. Imagine snow with the Vampires GP!! Variations in daylight hours would also be great. For example: cloudy days, shorter daylight hours would allow vampires sensitive to the sun's rays to stay out later, etc... Plants would need to be brought indoors, or protected from the snow, rain would water them for the Sim in charge of the garden. Falling leaves, lightning, crazy winds, freezing ponds. Heat and cold effects on the Sims. I miss those. The accompanying festivals I don't really care that much about, since we have them in the City Living EP, but a week's vacation could be added each season for families with children and teens, allowing them more time to bond over activities, etc...
Natural "catastrophes" could be fun too, come to think of it... Especially since there's a "quake zone" lot trait!! Tornadoes, flooding of the basement, crazy lightning storms (don't go near trees, etc...). However, I've read somewhere that one of the popular suggestions for a future GP/EP would be themed around catastrophes, and survival, with ruins and zombies. That could be fun.
Another argument for weather and seasons is that it doesn't even have to be an EP, I'm sure the amount of material needed could fit in a GP instead. With all the things that are actually in the current game, I can't imagine it would be THAT difficult coding-wise for EA to do the work. Plus, money incentives amiright?
