Honestly I think each iteration eventually becomes better than it's predecessor. While it may lack nostalgia in the base game eventually the things we simmers love about this game does eventually come to the game. I understand some people think Sims 4 took a step back given that Sims 3 had an open world and CAS colorwheel and customization, but Sims 3 also had a lot more bug crashes due to those things as most CPU's couldn't handle the high performance. It was a smarter move to limit some of that so that the game could perform better on the average CPU in order to reach more consumers. I don't mind the load screens, though it would've been nice to at least open up the individual neighborhood, but at least the environment in each hood is explorable. And I do think that eventually there will be a Sims 5 that will address these community issues in the future. But not the near future as I also believe that a Sims 5 is some years away.
