There should be a costume outfit category.
Somehow we have a useless party outfit category that honestly could just be formal or casual, yet there's all these costumes that could be used for events, yet there's no costume outfit category. ...

Oh, definitely this! Situation outfits tend to be more a nuisance than immersion feature. I spend a ton of time in CAS, carefully choosing each Sim's wardrobe, only to have situational outfits come along and break character.
With so much customization now in CAS, I feel like we could really use some updates to allow players mote control over the appearance of our Sims.
