My guess is they will announce the next EP in April with a normal trailer and blog etc, have a few months of marketing and hands on at EA Play in June and then release by the end of june.
That's the only thing I can think of why they aren't releasing a teaser now.
This is exactly what I think as well, especially because in the tweet they said "Here's your chance to
play our next Sims 4 experience.", it doesn't mean they are announcing it, just that it will be available to play, so it could have already been announced by then.
