The only question really here is why we are not having a quarterly teaser this quarter, and the future of quarterly teasers.My guesses are that, A) SimGuruDrake was the one who formed the idea of quarterly teasers, and with her departure, they either want to wait for another to fill her position, or scrapping the idea of quarterly teasers altogether and leave us back to how it was before them, OR tweaking the idea a bit to suit their interests, but there will still be teasers after this quarter.b) With EA Play coming in June, they want to keep a tight lip on any new content for this quarter and instead issue the reveal for it at EA Play instead, which is going to be happening within the next quarter, yet late into it. However, that doesn't mean they won't reveal smaller new content like a stuff pack or even a game pack for April/May before a BIG reveal at EA Play in June for what they're really been holding out on.C) A combination of A and B, depending on the deciding factors at least seen by the spontaneous reveal of MFP stuff after Drake left, which was unexpected yet had various other reasons for why that reveal was not included within the last quarter teaser, which is itself a different discussion.D) Sims 5 maybe revealed at EA Play, thus marking the eventual end of Sims 4 development, including quarterly teasers early. I think potentially the new EP might be coming earlier than we expected. If the would want to release it this quarter but also announce it at EA play they of course wouldn't want to spoil it in a quarterly teaser. If an EP is coming out this quarter then it's higly unlikely that anything else is being released this quarter, therefor nothing to put in the quarterly teaser.I hope my theory is right, I quite like the teasers and would hate to see them go.

I think your 2nd guess (b) is the most likely. Laundry day was a shift from the norm (community involvement) and the hamster pack was a shift from the norm. Maybe whatever's coming this next quarter is also a shift. If so it would explain the lack of a teaser.Trouble is though, next quarter is April - June, yet the EA play thing isn't happening 'til June.

So far with EPs they've announced them with a lot more advanced warning than that.

The last thing that wasn't on a teaser was My First Pet Stuff and we all know how that worked out.

I can think of three reasons
1. There is no new paid content for the quarter
2. They are releasing an EP in this quarter and don't want to announce it yet
3. They are releasing more packs that will cause a backlash (The Sims 4: Adventurous Jungle Stuff!) and want to limit that backlash to a few days rather than weeks or months

This is exactly what I think as well, especially because in the tweet they said "Here's your chance to play our next Sims 4 experience.", it doesn't mean they are announcing it, just that it will be available to play, so it could have already been announced by then.

Yup and it’s weird that how many people think something will be annouced at EA Play. They like to talk about their brand new games at the EA Play press conference, as opposed some DLC pack for The Sims (most mainstream gamers couldn’t care less about The Sims, and their press conference is heavily aimed to mainstream gamers; if I’m not mistaken they didn’t talk about The Sims at all in the last three EA Play conferences). Whatever that will be playable at EA Play is likely annouced before it.

This frustrates me. I’m already feeling so done with this game and now they’re not even going to keep doing the quarterly teasers (I know it could just be this particular quarter but who knows) and that was really the only thing that kept me checking back for content news. If there’s no teaser, what’s my motivation to come check in with the game? I think it’s time for me to just forget about this game and hope I randomly hear about a sims 5 in a few years. Even if they were bringing out a Seasons expansion, I almost feel like it’s too late for me to care this time. I can’t pretend I’m not feeling disappointed right now. But I think I’d better just try to move on to other things

Sorry to post again... I was just going to add that I think the reason there’s no trailer is that nothing is being released this quarter. Maybe I’m being too negative there but my thoughts are they could announce something in May that wouldn’t be released until the July quarter, and you would be able to play it at EA play before it comes out. Maybe that thing will be an expansion, or maybe not. But that would make sense. Can’t tease something if there’s nothing to tease.

I'm beyond bored with this game, The only reason I stuck to the forums was for the quarterly teasers and now they're not even bothering. Oh well, I'll take my money elsewhere, I'll probably finish getting all the sims 3 packs, that games heaps more fun than this garbage.

Why? - Because Seasons comes next quarter and gets fabulously announced at EA Play. They don't want to show it beforehand and take away the hype at EA Play.

It's just common sense. "Great Stuff" = Most likely Seasons

My theory on MFP Stuff is that it was intended for April, but it finished early so the executives wanted to go ahead and release it in March to be able to recognize revenue in the current fiscal year (which ends tomorrow). So right now they're not sure what's going to be ready for the next quarter; they do work on multiple packs at once. Maybe instead of quarterly teasers we'll get monthly ones: "Here's what's on deck this month." Or we could just go back to being surprised with a Monday teaser followed by Tuesday trailer for upcoming packs.

What if they don't release a quarter teaser because they will announce Seasons soon and they don't want to spoil it in the quarterly teaser ? My prediction: The Sims 4 EP 5 (Seasons) announcement - Early/Middle April
EA Play - Play it before the worldwide release
Release date - End of June (26th June) .

Personally, I don't want Sims 5 to be revealed yet (if that even happens), a lot of things are still off/missing about Sims 4, but if it happens, well I certainly am not expecting much if it'll just continue from where Sims 4 left off. What are your theories?

My guess is there won't be any packs but free content aka cars update.
