There's also gay men with body hair....actually body hair being absent is so frustrating. I feel like I can't create my family. Maybe I should consider being outraged at the game not being inclusive enough by body hair being absent. THAT'S A JOKE. Probably in very bad taste, and I'm sorry for any offense but I'm not sorry I say it, because while I'm not outraged, I do feel we can't really recreate that portion of ourselves.
but in truth, does it fall into the category with missing height variations and missing options for someone with a disability as well? We cannot make our Sims selves if we fall into those categories. As a member of the LBGTQIA+ community, I totally applaud EA for bringing so many different gender identity and preference options into the game. I applaud EA for bringing options where many races, heritages and nationalities can be represented (I realize not all the same thing), as well as many skin tones to allow us to create as close as ourselves as possible should be prefer.
Unlike Height and options for disabilities, there shouldn't be a lot of coding to go into body hair. It's like an extra layer of skin or clothing, visual and not really interactive with objects. At any rate, it's not represented, so it does feel like many male Sims are being put into a small corner in terms of that world.
Body hair is for everyone and it’s ridiculous that it is still absent from our 7 year old Sims 4 CAS menu. Werewolves or not.
At this point in the game’s life, height sliders and gameplay features that include disabilities & mobility issues would be extremely challenging on a technical level, plus it’s quite difficult to gauge what’s considered offensive or not. Especially in the Year Snowflake ‘21.
I agree that adding body hair should not be a problem, in whatever kind of shape or form that may be.
I do believe a lot of folks find the idea of body hair on their sims repulsive, so I guess it’s always been near the bottom of Maxis’ priority list. To a lot of simmers adding body hair wouldn’t even make sense unless it came in a Werewolves GP pre-patch. Because growl and fur. ??♂️
To add to that, not many simmers, especially men, have been complaining about this non-inclusiveness and if they did, I’m not sure if they’d be taken very seriously.
This particular installment of the sims doesn’t really seem to be geared toward male players anyway, in particular NON-LGTBQ male players. By that I mean straight, ordinary fools like myself.
On several occasions I’ve been told to play a different game, because there’s already enough boy games out there and I should keep my big mouth shut and go play car games if I want cars and shoot at a bunch of NPCs. Ofcourse I will, but excuse me, I also like playing with my Dollies, and some of them gotta be hairy, masculine Dollies. ?
