This is actually insulting: A veteran simmers last straw.

At no point do I not take responsibility for my own choice to keep buying/playing the sims, as angry as I am at EA/The Sims, there is also some anger toward myself for refusing to look at the overall ...

Yeah, when people (I was) locked down until way past July, yeah, I can see why it has record highs if people can't play TS2 or TS3, on Windows 10, many just don't even bother with all the trouble they go through to get those games to work on newer systems sometimes, not surprised any game isn't reporting record highs these days.
