Maybe I'm old fashioned and out of touch with the new and hip but I always thought it was better to wait until they've actually confirmed that the product exists, let alone what is in it, before flying off the handle.
Then we would be waiting till August or something? Am I the only one who thinks actually discussing speculations and rumors upon them being leaked is fun? Guess everyone here only likes factual posts.
Discussing and speculating is fine -- that's what this particular forum is for (now that the thread's been moved out of General Discussion). But all this outrage when we know absolutely nothing about the contents other than the main theme (dogs and cats) is a bit tiresome. Dogs and cats encompass a lot. With the Sims 4 genetics system we might be able to make true "mutts" (or "Heinz 57" pets if you prefer) by combining multiple breed types in Create A Pet. For the majority of players who don't own a purebred dog or cat that could make it easier for them to create their own pet. Add in the push/pull feature from the regular Sim CAS and it will be even easier to give that extra "quirk" your own pet has; maybe that right ear droops a little bit on your dog or your cat lost his tail when he got too close to a slamming door as a kitten. We also don't know how the trait system for animals will work -- will it be a singular special trait like we have with toddlers, or maybe combine two or three like with adult Sims? They could even take the character traits feature from Parenthood and apply it to animal training, where your dog or cat could develop a separate hidden trait with proper training (or a bad trait for lax training).
The point is that we have no information on which to base the accusation of a "scam". And that's what I'm objecting to.
