It seems kind of weird that in ts3 I never seemed to have twins or triplets, yet that's all my sims in ts4 have had so far.
You can move him out to his own home. That's what I did when my sim kept having boys and I wanted a girl. I moved the dad and 4 boys out into a separate home.
