11am pst 2 pm est tomorrow
The sims YouTube channel has a countdown I believe
Edit: I think thatβs wrong. Simsvip says 8am Pst for the announcement and the video on YouTube says 11am but Itβs to my time zone. So 8am pst would probably be the best bet - Yahey, can't wait - this is the one I wanted!! <3

Imagine having just about every bit of proof that your expansion pack exists being leaked but STILL insisting on sticking with that marketing campaign pretending that you're surprising all these Sims YouTubers with "Acceptance Letters".
I mean they probably had this planned out before the leak, they might as well do the stuff theyβve already finished. We did get spoiled, but people still watch Titanic despite the fact that everyone knows thatSpoilerthe ship sinks.
Yep, that's a good point. It isn't the marketing team's fault that things leaked. - I will send sims to both universities to experience both of them playing as a student.

I am really worried with the let downs as of lately, and this pack being so highly anticipated since TS4 launch (basically), that it's been built up in the player's mind so high that it will be a let down for a lot of people. From some posts/tweets it sounds like people think this is the thing to "fix" TS4 and "the only thing missing"... with that kind of expectation to live up to, I'm really unsure TS4 can deliver. Especially after IL and ROM. :/
Tbf, I tend to think they do better when they're aware that messing a pack up is gonna alienate a plumton of people, aka: the classic must-have packs. Sure, you could say/think the same about IL, but imho, the island stuff has never been quite as central to the experience as Uni, Seasons, Pets & Magic. And so far, none of those packs have really disappointed me (tbf I've never been into animals in TS much, but I tend to like these cats & dogs well enough), so I have a good feeling about uni. University doesn't require something quite as groundbreakingly new as animating new pets or whole seasons with separate weather systems (or, for that matter, swimmable oceans, which they seem to have some difficulties with this time around), so I think we'll see a lot more focus on gameplay. And this time, at EP scales. Let's just pray they furnished the university.
You do bring a good point that other classic must haves were actually good packs. I'll disagree on the ROM bit though, it could have been good (all the elements are there) if it wasn't so glitched and broken, however that could be fixed with a patch if they choose. The furnishings were lacking but I like to tell myself that they left it bare to make room for duels and less routing issues. I notice with familiars that they need a ton of room to follow my sim, otherwise my sim gets stuck waiting on them being stuck. They won't have to worry about that with University. Is university for teens in this game?
Doubt, they still have high school, uni is YA+
Unless they donβt want elders taking part ?
University never had high school but they had to be teens to go to Uni in Sims 2 as that was the only way they could age in to YA's - right after teen got to Uni each one aged to YA - if they quit Uni the game aged them to full adults and they never could go back to Uni. Sims 3 did work that way as it was a school of lifelong learning so Sims from YA - Elders could go. I actually preferred Sims 2's style of college though as they went all 4 years in Sims 2 in 3 you had to go a couple weeks and then keep going back several times to get degrees etc. Also it looked weird to have elders living in dorms - that isn't the way lifelong learning usually works. LOL.
But either way I need University - I just don't feel right with Sims having high degreed jobs and no University so what ever kind of Uni they get - I sure hope to get it. It is worse not having Uni than it is Sims lacking personalities it you ask me seeing Uni is such a rite of passage in my family. To me it is not a game about life until my Sims have a way to earn degrees.
