A trick I learnt with the independence ones and it works with the others to. is to get the toddler to ask for things, instead of the adults asking the toddler if he wants a bath, flash cards etc. and everything everyone else has said. Have fun.
my current last two house holds had four toddlers each, and for a few sim days had five toddlers in my last house, all having different traits. what I observed is, they all get sad when a parent goes to work, most say no when asked if they want potty training, flash cards or a bath. only the angelic say yes most of the time. The traits aren't ingrained enough to greatly effect their behaviour. so they all behave mostly alike. not enough difference. I found if a toddler had a wish to ask for a story, flash cards or play or watch a parent or play with the dolls house, I pinned them. and used them when needed. Each toddler no matter what trait is happier when asking for what they want than the adult asking them. and even when they don't wish those things it was still easier to get the toddler to ask, less tantrums and less stressed parents. the only time the parent gets stressed is when they ask the toddler and the toddler says No. Get the toddler to ask, no stress parents. except when the toddler has a night mare and wakes a very tired adult, when my sims were so depleted on sleep I got a nanny until their energy was all the way up. and I used the nanny in the same way, I got the toddlers to ask for what they needed.
