Wouldn't it be awesome if they did though? I really wished they reacted more to the builds we carefully make for them. TS4 introduced this with the Eco Lifestyle patch. I would like them to expound on that. Like how in TS3, beachfront properties in Sunset Valley would automatically give the "Beautiful Vista" moodlet. And how some TS2 Sims would give the player side-eye if you buy them the cheaper furniture.
