Someone said already, but yea there are two other lights that I think help with nightmares. They are like a ball with clouds on. One is a light show up the wall too. Sorry for bad description! :D
Yes, those are the ones that work, I think both are from parenthood pack. Your description is perfect that's just how they look. :)- You're all awesome :) I will have many more happy toddlers now!
- GalacticGalSeasoned AcePlace a radio in the tot's room and tune in the Lullaby channel.
- @luthienrising I did some pretty extensive testing on the toddler nightmares based on a similar discussion in an older thread found here http://forums.thesims.com/en_us/discussion/919184/how-to-prevent-nightmares/p1
The results were:
-- None of the nightlights prevent toddler nightmares. The toddler usually gets a happy moodlet from the Parenthood nightlights when they wake up but they do not prevent nightmares.
-- Increasing the thinking skill definitely decreases the frequency of nightmares....however it is still possible to get a nightmare at level 5 Thinking, although it's pretty rare.
-- The lullaby radio station will prevent nightmares if you have the toddler listen to it until they get the moodlet from it. Simply playing the lullaby radio station in the background will not prevent nightmares unless they actively listen to it and get the moodlet.
-- Reading a toddler to sleep will prevent a nightmare.
When I tested these things, I eliminated all other variables to be able to test whether using each of these particular things, itself, would prevent nightmares.
I forgot I started using another kids nightlight from parenthood ( Night Owl Toy night light ) because I saw one of my toddlers keeping it in her inventory, I am not sure if it helps from the inventory or not. but I use to keep one on the floor or table near my toddlers beds.
As I said before my toddlers never had nightmares. ?
Now, why would parents on this thread just come and say the parenthood kids nightlights helps your toddlers not have nightmares If they have not tested them beforehand. Also did not have their toddlers running to them from a nightmare.
The answer is in Jim's comment. when the toddlers wake they get a happy moodlet, So even if a toddler gets a nightmare an on waking they get a happy moodlet, do the nightmare truly matter if the toddler forgets the nightmare when they wake. The toddlers then behave as though it never happened. Parents only see a happy toddler.
The reason The parents feel know the nightlights work. Truly, in that case, they do help with nightmares.
So everyone on the thread is correct. So keep your kids nightlights from parenthood so that your toddlers wake happy.
All the other things help too but the Parenthood nightlights are a good backup. Happy is what we want our toddler to be. :)- Wow I never thought about all that! I usually just switch household when my babies become toddlers until they grow into kids because i just find them annoying but all of your tips might make them more enjoyable to play with. Thanks!
- @JimG72 Sweet! Thank you!
