One thing I have learned over this is to always have cheats on so you can Reset a toddler quickly.
Two big problems: quite often the parent get caught in a loop putting in and lifting out toddlers out of the high chair. A simple shift / click and "Reset" fixes that, works on both the parent or the kid.
I've found that it's better not to bother with the high chairs. I just make sure to have some group meals in the fridge and I get one out and place it on a surface when I notice a hungry toddler. Toddlers can help themselves to food then and bother no other sims in the process.
I kind of like them because it's more realistic that way. Plus with them, the toddler can "ask for food" which means training Communication AND increase relationship with the parent. - Beardedgeek726 years agoSeasoned Ace

Man, long life span, and problems with grinding? I think you are grinding too hard, you will end up with nothing to do and then they will seem boring.
Sims 4 I think can seem to objective oriented, and people end up "power gaming" I often find myself doing this, and my problem is, if I treat the objectives like the game focus, family members quickly run out of goals and end up being props for my "main character"
I have calmed down now when the math is clear. Yes, I could have removed the 100 000 from the vault, and lowered the bills to only 18 500 (ish) from 23 200 (ish) but hey, what are vaults for except having woo-hoo in piles of cash???
Point is before I saw that I could easily pull ahead of the bills anyway I was quite stressed.
Not a problem anymore:
Lena makes 4200 a day
Lucy makes 3500 a day
Their royalties on Simtube videos is varying between 5000 and 5500 a day
They have a weekly investment payoff of about 11 000. SOooo no. 23 thosand is barely a dent in their fortune, it turns out!!
As for grinding in general, I tend to grind until they reach the top of their career, and then relax from there (and in the process complete 3 or 4 aspirations, giving them more than enough points for the slacker trait). - Love the toddler stage. <3 My sim had triplets when Parenthood released and one of them is still a toddler. :p I just can't bare to age her up.

Again, how?
Both parents working. Lucy can work from home, but she usually don't have time to do her task so she earns 0 simolions then. She is dead tired and passing out when Lena comes home (also dead tired).
Twins constantly needy, the only respite i have found is to buy the worst beds so they sleep longer.
And i guess skills is a choice, but if I am not going for the traits I might just age up them immediately after they come from the hospital, right? Just age them up twice.
You only need parents to potty train them. They can take care of other needs themselves.
With Independant toddler trait, they don't even need parents to train them. All they need parents/other sims for is to keep the fridge stocked with food, and of course cuddles and maybe the occacional bath.
I found toddlers are a lot easier when you don't use caregivers to do everything for the toddler. I also never use the high chair.
When toddlers are not interrupted by parents and whatnot all the time, they can max all their skills in just a few days.
Basically everything your toddler can play/interact with will build some skill. - I absolutely love toddlers in my game!! They’re adorable, fun and also hard work. What I usually do is give them plenty of toys to build their imagination, dedicate quality time for my sims to take care of them and make sure everyone has a strong relationship.
- I enjoy playing toddlers only when one parent has the Patriarch/Matriarch trait and someone in the household has the Fresh Chef trait. ^_^
My toddler's parents are currently Infected, so that's saved them from passing out a few times. The downside is I have to keep harvestables on hand in case the toddler ever needs a snack when the parents are unavailable due to wandering around the neighborhood babbling about the great mother.
They're also plant Sims, so that makes their needs a little easier to manage. - I love Toddlers. They’re the reason I started playing Sims 4 again.

Heh. I had given up on the game then saw the trailer for Vampires (this was the week it was released) for some reason and jumped back in immediately. And realized in the meantime Toddlers had been patched into the game while I was gone. - Beardedgeek726 years agoSeasoned Ace

I think you just dont love them. Toddlers are one of the best phases for me. I love how crazy and active they can be and I don't think the long life span is too long. Sometimes I get bored if it, yes, but i have it more with a babies as they have 0 meaning. But i never age them up and just focus on something else meanwhile to let the time go faster. Just like RL.
Well I don't really enjoy Sims until they're teens. I also tend to lose interest when they're elders.
