Hmm ... the Sims 4 loads so much faster than The Sims 3 and The Sims 2. I don't mind the extra loading screens since it enhances game performance. I can understand why they brought back the loading screens; it's especially beneficial for me since I'm playing on a MacBook Air. I haven't tried playing The Sims 3 on my MacBook, but I definitely think it would be slow as it occasionally lagged on my gaming laptop that I used to have. I've heard from other MacBook Air users that The Sims 3 was barely functional, but The Sims 4 functions perfectly.
You do realise that these games aren't meant to be played on laptops hence why specs released are for desktops. The fact that the games can be played on a laptop is the luck of the draw - trust me I know...I only recently invested in a desktop after many years of several different laptops for the game throughout the franchise.
