TOO MUCH WHITE??!

This is seriously what I've always wanted in the game. In real life sloped roofs are almost always used and it would make a lot of builds so much easier. I am now messing with attics by putting rooms under the roof, but a lot of space isn't used and I can only have like three different degrees of the roof.

Yup I'd like to see that too making a comeback at some point. And most likely be on a patch, since any new building feature has been added through a patch. I'm pretty sure it was always like this , to avoid gallery issues, as it's not the same with the furniture.

Did some experiments in TS2 yesterday, and had no problem putting floor tiles on ceilings. If we could do it two versions ago, why not now?

you see the ceilings all the time if you use the ts3 camera--which is much easier to control-- and we're going to see them much, much more if we start using the 1st person POV camera

@DreamaDove I rarely change the camera angle in game and as a player I do not mind white ceilings edit and the sims4 camera view is much better than the sims3 camera view

Depends on the time period and style of the building. Something of the sort in the screenshot would have the underside of the wooden floor of the story above, while the fancier/more formal rooms would likely have what amounts to wooden tiling.
