- Spots_ALot4 years agoNew SpectatorDon't know, I just hope it doesn't override my ultimate control over my sims and my game.
- LiELF4 years agoSeasoned AceWell, it's still going to be within the same base mechanics of the game, so I don't expect the changes to be groundbreaking or for Sims to suddenly behave as they did in other iterations. I imagine it will still tie in heavily with the emotion system. I guess what I would hope from it is for Sims to gravitate toward appropriate activities and behaviors, with the resulting emotional buffs/debuffs making sense. Something I'd really like to see is for the new Scared emotion to be incorporated more, maybe with Squeamish and Paranoid Sims. Ideally, I'd also like to see Vampire Traits have more of an effect as well, but I'm not expecting that to be an extension of this adjustment.
Regardless, I'm looking forward to finding out what has changed. - My expectations are low. If it was a big traits update it would've been promoted and mentioned more rather than just being listed as a "this is coming as well"
- ohh traits improvements? so our sims will finally act according to them? will we get more to make more unique sims? perhaps traits will get a point system? will they be more prominent than emotions? am i getting high expectations again lol
but i'm glad sims personality is finally being tweaked and improved "simgirl1010;c-17839574" wrote:
In not even allowing myself to think about it for fear of disappointment. And if it turns out to be more than I expected then I'll get excited then. ?
I agree. Even though trait improvement sound great to me, I really doubt they can actually make any impactful changes without ruining the fountation of the game so I think the trait improvements will be maybe a new addition to them or an extra system on them than an actual change to their core.
I would love them to prove me wrong but I'm not getting excited and waiting for it to come.- RouenSims4 years agoSeasoned TravelerI’m worried about this because I’ve never had any interest in those trait “improvement” mods. I’m afraid that these improvements may not work well with my game style.
- ChadSims24 years agoSeasoned NoviceHopefully new unique animations and behaviors for the traits but that is expecting way to much from the Sims team. I really don't see the traits being useful till you can actually notice a difference in behavior I seriously see no difference between a gloomy sim and a cheerful one Sims are always happy.
The traits need to do more than give the sim a quickemotionmood swing and be seen without the player always having to make their personality show - Lyrie184 years agoSeasoned ObserverI will just wait and see.
Remember everyone, you don’t have to patch right away ? - May it be related to some of the features mentioned in one of latest surveys?

I don't know, but the current AI systems they have in place are all over the place. They don't work well with one another. Also very inconsistent. For instance, it leaves me confused why we have a trait such as loves outdoors since 2014, but now virtually that same trait can be acquired from the lifestyle system. And then the benefits of the lifestyle system seem to weigh more than the trait system? It's just such a mess.
Maybe that's what they're going to fix as an "improvement"?
