That's exactly me. Quite the gloomy, calm laid back sim who enjoys gloomy songs. I get so tense and annoyed around energetic talkative people lol
I totally agree what everyone is saying about the traits.
Nice! I definetly can be energetic and cheerful, but I tend to crash into gloominess pretty often. Talk about emotional whiplash! Lol
The more that I think about it, the more I absolutely think the game needs some form of overhaul when it comes to traits and things sims of those traits can do, and their emotional responses to things.
Like I could see a hotheaded Sim being aggrevated by lots of noise in their house, or an evil sim being annoyed by the presence of happiness on community lots (sims building sandcastles, kids playing on playground equipment).
I’d also love unique trait combinations that come with unique buffs and benefits. Like Joe Manganiello and Henry Cavill are some of the buffiest dudes in Hollywood, but they’re also undeniably geeky.
Joe Manganiello has an entire dungeon that he dedicates to Dungeons and Dragons and it’s fully decked out to look like something out of Game of Thrones. Henry Cavill built a gaming computer during quarantine, paints figurines, and almost missed playing Superman because he was too emmersed in a World of Warcraft campaign. I’d love to make active/geek sims that combine geeky culture with active activities, like larping in the park or jogging on a treadmill while listening to a fantasy novel. These Sims would thrive in careers that appease logic and fitness.
I think this would help make Sims unique, without overloading the game with new traits. The team could focus on improving and combining what we already have. Like I don’t know if it’s possible (my game is kinda broken due to the patch ?), but interesting combinations like Cheerful/Evil, Self Absorbed/Unflirty, etc. could give way to some amazing gameplay and lively spirited sims.
