Not yet. I will have to wait for it to come in, but I was just wondering what to expect/what I could do in the meantime to minimize the damage. Sorry if there's nothing to be done until it comes in (at which point I will obviously do my best to revive my saves).
1. Get someone (maybe a friend as you suggested) to see if they can get your Sims 4 folder off the old hard drive and transfer it to a USB.
2. When your new computer comes in, install The Sims 4 and launch it as normal. There will be nothing there, but this will create a folder to transfer your files into.
3. Import your saves into the generated save folder, and add tray contents to the generated tray folder.
4. Launch The Sims 4 again. This time, your stuff will be there.
