Triplets

I had triplets once when I was playing with the 100 Baby Challenge.

I've had it one time and hated it. One toddler drives me insane. Three makes me send the other two to other families to grow up in :s

i get them all the time. and i dont actually want them.

i've had one set of triplet girls and they were actually all identical.
i changed one of them to look slightly different and pretended the other two were twins instead of keeping them as triplets.

i didn't do anything to influence this. i did have the mom listen to pop music daily so that she could have a daughter, but i didn't want three of them.. it was an absolute nightmare taking care of them.

I've had a couple of sets of triplets, both in the same family and all girls. If memory serves, that family really loved listening to the radio and I probably let the moms watch Kids TV too often, usually with their older children.
Like GalacticGal I had sort of triplets thanks to an alien abduction. But the couple had been married a while and already had two older children. The father got abducted, came home, wanted to try for a baby, and got his wife pregnant with twin boys. He had a blue boy shortly before her. Since they were all aliens, there was no need to explain anything except how a green male and purple female managed to have a blue son...

I've played 29 generations so far and only Generation 9 produced Tripelts for me. Twins on the other hand are just far to common for me though I think around 11/29 of my generations were twins.

In playing multiple toddlers in a single family, utilize the pause button. It's your friend. I don't have triplets, but in the household I've been playing, the children are fairly close in age, so I have ended up with four toddlers, each in different stages of development, at the same time. Yes, it's crazy-insane, but I love the challenge of it. So much so, it's the household I play most often. LOL

Oh yeah, I definitely use the pause button in my game too - even when I have just 1-2 toddlers. It's even useful with older Sims too, especially when you have a lot of them.

I don't actually find toddlers *that* difficult. They are much more independent than in Sims 2 and 3; they can essentially teach themselves skills, they can grab a plate of food for themselves, they can put themselves to bed etc. I've always enjoyed playing large families though.

I have had them once. The second birth of the 100 baby challenge I am playing. The first child was only a toddler, so my sims Parenting skills were not very advanced. So then I had a toddler and 3 babies on my hand with no help. I was almost ready to throw in the towel; between painting for money, skilling up the toddler and taking care of the babies my sim was constantly on the verge of passing out. But somehow everyone survived and none of the kids were taken away.
