Try Something New With The Sims 5?

Start off at the base of the space elevator with options to emigrate to one of several planets or remain on Earth--in which case you pick one of several starting places (city/town/village). The base-game starting planets would have different levels of technology--one futuristic, one pretty primitive, and one where magic works.
EA has created a good bit of distrust by recycling watered down versions of the previous versions of the game. They'll need to start TS5 off with something different, and with lots of interesting options.
Give us back our sandbox play, and lots of different places to play in.
edited to add: ideally, while the planets might start out with only one city/town/village, we'd have the ability to add additional copies of that, and travel back and forth between them with our sims. Traveling to other planets would eat up a year of your sim's life, though. :anguished:
Exp. packs could add new planets as the OP suggested, while game packs might add one new city, town, or village to a particular planet.
