in the original servey it mentioned a singer career and a career as a director to.
And I'm sure like they did with the cook in Dine Out, we won't be able to have director sims either.
Seems so :(
I would of loved a singer career again, on stage, but without all those locked stage props and equipment. I enjoyed other simmers sims turning up to my game to perform , and my sims being sent to their games. B)
I hate the whole, you can't chef/host/serve in dine out, spoiled owning a restaurant for me. :'(
a director career would of been fun to,
maybe there is more to see in another trailer, tho the render suggests over wise.
Super star did not have props like that it was all about being a good singer. It also did not have bands - not in superstar and not in Sims 1 anywhere. They had a few instrument but they could not be synced together to play together. The first time we got that ability was Sims 2 University. The could not have singer though. They had a separate hip hop type singer who sang for tips also in Uni and there was karaoke of course that came with downtown - but it was for fun nothing to do with fame, career or earning any money except in contests at bars, but those too only started in Sims 2. This Sims 4 pack is the first time we have revisited superstar - Sims 3 did not have super star it was strictly fame type activity to reach stardom - not making it as a star first really with all the hard work that actually entails. Super star was fun - lots of fun and because of how much fun it was it has been the most requested game since Sims 1. So many of us are thrilled to see it - especially building the acting as that was just touched upon in under-worked in Superstar. The singing on the other hand was done to death and to date there is still no real singing with bands - obviously not really doable well in a sims game. At least we now have singing with a single instrument in Sims 4 already so also not necessary for superstar it is already being done.
So yes many of us are thrilled to see the Superstar design back again. As I said the singing music side is already mostly covered and the free stylist career sounds like it holds a large part of what the also slighted modeling career we had in superstar so wait and hear what it has instead of freaking it is not in superstar. It's being done already - so that gives superstar room for other indepth things.
Lastly if you still don't like it well no one says you have to buy it. I'm thrilled on what I see and do not even need to know more - it's superstar to me and finally coming back - I'm buying it - no question. It is one of the games I do want in my sims 4 - and no one has to convince me I want this. I know I want it. No convincing needed. It's my cup of tea. I will also be just as happy when I also see the other two packs I am waiting for as well.
I don't know but in my world I either like something or I don't. If I don't no amount of info will change my mind. Until I got toddlers no amount of content in the game made me want to play it. Nothing was good to me. I am like that. I know what I like and need in my game. A life stage was missing. We could be with out almost anything in the game and once we had Sims 2 and Sims 3 with all life stage there was no going back. It is THE SIMS first and foremost. The little being who make the game period and they al need to be accounted for. It is why babies are still a sore subject - the first sim born in the family needs t o be equal to rest of the family in importance. It needs to count. The game is the SIMs - I need to say it again - not the woohoos, not the cars, not the band, not even the careers or worlds or anything else - first and foremost it is THE SIMS. They need all their stages represented by their specialness and important - not overlooked or part of the furniture. Then and only then do I believe the rest of the game start counting by importance or need. Maxis need to never make that mistake again and finish make the littliest sim matter and not part of the bassinet. At least it was represented anyway - but it could be better. The toddlers rock though.
I got the EA mail telling me Toddlers have arrived. That's all it took - went and downloaded it and downloaded every last pack that had come out for the game - sight unseen - as I also keep my word - I had said we get toddler I'd buy every pack and did. Quickly also thrilled to see that followed by the first Supernatural pack. Totally blew me away between free toddler - best ever yet - and best ever Vamps.
When I have aspects I need I do not need the exact thing I had before - I love having better than what I had before - superbonus is often better is not more but extra effort and intense, indepthness to the subject I am actually seeing this a lot in Sims 4.
Maybe you don't see it that way - I can't help that. I always love to see people enjoy their game - but not everyone sees the packs with the same eyes or value. I am just glad I was right on each choice for me and I am pretty satisfied with Sims 4 since toddlers and Vamps. Superstar is the amazing icing on the most welcome cake to my game. I get Uni and witches in the future - I doubt I could get much happier - well at least with how my game is moving forward. Very happy here - sorry you can't be too. But that is the beauty of people - we are all different and that's okay too.
