That's actually why they made the festival to get players to start using them more. Also the future cube is one of the prizes you can get, why? Because it was one of the least used/most hated/most forgotten object in game and that they thought it would be funny if it was a prize.
Switching to the Humour and Highjinx festival the prize for team mischief is the voodoo doll because it too is one of the most forgotten and least used objects, though not hated.
I never liked the idea of EA spying in my game. so never use telemetry. one of many reasons why I hate city living with a passion is because festivals are riddled with base game instead of new content and gameplay.
the sims 4 is known for releasing packs full of base game. city living and now get famous are perfect examples of less expansion features for base game and other pack features :#
