In the first trailer most of the 3 dynasties made use of the throne object. Later we learned that none of them are a Monarch. So, I wonder if the throne is meant for any dynasty? Did anyone catch some info regarding this? I would basically think the new object is meant for monarchs, but maybe there is some built in functionality for dukes and counts, as well? The lower levels should not need a throne, unless there is some activities involved used to build their Nobility career progression?
I saw something about it being required for promotion in the Noble Career: you have to interact with it to be promoted, since promotions are not automatic like they are in other careers.
Right you are. But, would a sim on level 2 of the nobility career just have his own throne to cklick? Would he not need to go to the Monarch, or at least the highest ranked noble of the world to get knighted for the next level? Hm, guess we'll learn more soon.
I think the difference is that in this career you need to accept the promotion as opposed to the regular careers where you had not much say in it. Well, even there you could have boycotted promotions by not putting in much effort. Also, I read that children can inherit career title, but they can not work in it unless they are teens. So you can always delay career progress by just keeping them as children. Also, if the heir dies, so does the career progress if they do not have a heir yet. I think there will be lots of bad puffer fish incidents. I wonder how long it takes to progress through the different career levels.
