Ummm okay???!! Little rant

So I’m seeing everyone posting early access to wedding stories and I’m looking at the Cas objects And I am looking at the Build and buy objects And let me just put this out there I know that this is not an expansion pack but it is a game pack and I was shocked to see what little there is for clothes and hair and shoes honestly I’m looking and I see that we are only getting one top if I’m not mistaken and for build and buy I’m not seeing any beds or anything like that I mean it’s a wedding right? you think you be able to fix up like a honeymoon suit with new beds or something like that you know we would have a new objects.

So I’m not really seeing the new gameplay here of this just feels like something that should have already been in the game that we’re paying to be in the game we don’t really play with weddings that much like once our sims are married we’re married That right there is pretty much the end of the game play.
In my honest opinion my wedding stories should never have been a gameplay my wedding stories should have been an update or should have been in something smaller like a stuff pack this is not something that we’re going to be using all the time I mean unless we’re just gonna marry off the whole town you know.

I’m actually dying to get a pack that is more focussed on giving us lots of gameplay I am bored of the Sims I don’t know if I am the only one but I am bored I don’t know what to do with my sims because there is so much lack of gameplay I get bored even going into the game.

What really makes me mad is that the team knew we all wanted slow dances back. This is the only way you're going to get them.
Regardless of whether you ever want to hold a wedding.
Just so sick of everything being added piecemeal.
The world is beautiful, but still a sorry version of what came before (Monte Vista)

adding things piecemeal is strategic. It makes more money. Look at Sims3: each pack contained what you'd have to buy at least 5 Sims4 packs, to get, plus things that never even made it to Sims4 and probably never will.

As for werewolves, I agree they'd be neat but the trouble is, has anyone looked at them from Sims3? It was less bad about making everything baby-proofed, than Sims4, and even so, Werewolves in Sims3 are just dorky dog people who can howl and whine and get whacked on the nose by a rolled-up newspaper for misbehaving, but they cannot do anything that werewolves are FOR. No violence allowed.

Does anyone want werewolves that can only bark and howl and be hairy and that's it? T for Teen rating can't be the reason there's no blood in the game, and the game won't even let blood be called blood, because T rating explicitly covers "moderate blood".

There is a cool mod out though, that adds werewolves, and they can attack. Just saw a FakeGamerGirl review on it the other day. But I think we all know what to expect if Sims4 ever got werewolves, and it would be worse than Sims4 vampires, because werewolves, far more that vampires, are supposed to be about mayhem and blood and savagery. Does anyone want werewolves who can only do things like start a knitting circle and a hirtsutism support group, maybe have tea parties? Maybe they would have a Spa tie-in, with new electrolysis treatments, and special scented oil massage options to soothe when they get "tense" at "that time of month" :D

Werewolves were one of my biggest disappointments in Sims 3. Their only saving grace, imo, was that they led to adding body hair to the game.

Regarding the T for Teen rating, while I often think the same thing, I'm thinking in terms of ESRB ratings, in America.
EA markets the game globally and there may be other markets where ratings are less tolerant of blood and violence than we are here and which EA considers important enough markets to cater to.

Im disappointed too because I was hoping for

    - Table proposal
    - heart shaped bed
    - Attration system
    - memory system
    - photographer event at wedding
    - More veils

Anyone knows if we have a wedding life time aspiration?

those things do sound good as a meatier pack but their attempt at fixing the lack of memory, attraction, and personality in the Sims4, was Sentiments, Lifestyles, and Neighborhood Progression (for Story Progression, in a way) and that was the best they could do on, I suppose, the basic framework of how this game was written.

But a wedding lifetime aspiration? Like, your goal for your whole life, is to have a wedding? ok I got confused, at first was thinking of Sims3 aspirations where you only get one, and once it's done, that's it, you don't get to have another one ever. It would be lame if all the sim ever got to aspire to was having a wedding. But not in Sims4, where aspirations can just be one thing one time, another thing another time, as many as you want.

Which "normal base game" way do you mean? There's more than one way in the base game.

I mean buying an arch, bakning a cake and just get married under the arch and then cutting the cake. Thats usually how I do it. Sometimes I make them invite guests, but I guess I might be able to choose house party instead of wedding if I don't want to do all the things that come with the pack?

And by sims getting sad I mean if they would get a sad moodlet because they didn't get a big wedding. Similar to when you don't get a cake for their birthday, they get sad because they feel their birthday was forgotten.
  • @IObelle, you can still choose wedding with the new pack. It will be customizeable so you get to actually pick exactly what things the wedding will require. If you just want an arch and a cake, then you'd only pick the ceremony and cake cutting.

Also, quite sure there's no negative mood for a smaller wedding, or for just eloping. That's not at all the same as having one's brithday forgotten, after all.
