Unicorns kind of confirmed

So no "real" unicorns, as in occult horses, but we can still use horn accessories to make regular horses look like unicorns. My feelings about this are so mixed and confused, you can't even imagine...
When the CAS leaked and I saw a horn among the horse accessories, I was happy and content with the idea of just having fake unicorns. After all, the magic chickens from Cottage Living are just for show in my game, too, I never actually ask them to help out. Then, after the second trailer and a livestream that showed us nothing but horses, I started thinking, well, if that's going to be the only content, they better milk it for all it's worth to justify making it an EP, and that includes real unicorns. How hard can it be to give them a few special properties, and when else are we going to get them without another My First Pet disaster? But then I remembered what I said before, that I don't use the chickens' special properties either and would probably be fine with just playing pretend...
It's a vicious circle. I'm disappointed even though I know I shouldn't be. Right now, my thought is that I should probably "vote with my wallet", as I've heard many Sims players say, and simply not support a company that keeps letting me down. But I have no life, one of the reasons I play this game is to keep the depression at bay, and I do want the horses and the new desert world really bad, so I'm probably going to buy the pack anyway. :|
Edit: I just had my lunch break at work, grabbed a random cup for my hot cholocate that I'd never seen before, and there was a writing on it: "It's never too late to saddle a unicorn." How ironic...
