I cut "More than one type of university to choose from" since I feel that types wouldn't really matter if I could customize the school. Assuming I can change the curriculum/tuition fees/housing, of course. But if "build and customize your own schools" just means you choose how it looks and stuff, I'd go with the other option.
I cut "big new world," partly because I'd be fine with university being like active career lots, even if it meant you couldn't live at school. But the big reason for cutting it is because I needed to cut something to keep within my budget. Mind altering harvestables were added because I was left with an extra dollar in the end.
I want bands and more instruments. Or honestly, just instruments. We can simulate a band well enough already, but you can't really have a good band when the game is lacking so many classic instruments.
Tbh, I never liked the university portions of University packs. Too long and intrusive, though giving us options to go to class might spice things up. But online classes would free up a lot of time. And if we can get an education from home that way, I'd have nearly all my sims take them.
I want laptops again, even if they're not as good as they were in Sims 3. I don't think I want to get StrangerVille any time soon, and SV's laptops were fugly.
