I found it hard and tedious when my sim took 4 classes one term. I struggled to get a B-. But then I switched to only doing two at a time.
Yes, it made it take longer to graduate. But it gave me plenty of time to complete homework and term papers, study in each subject, build some skills, and go out and have fun. I just approached it like that was my life goal for that particular Sim. She graduated with an A.
It will probably be awhile before I send another Sim, or I'll send one to fail on purpose.
I will agree that University itself doesn't offer much in the way of fun. You have to go out and use other game stuff. I miss the toga parties, random streakers, mascots, and secret societies from Sims 2.
