Unlucky Chef Scenario (completed)

@Solomutt Hey, congrats on having an accidental unlucky chef!
Did Jericho have the fear of fire, and if so did he manage to overcome it?

It was the day before Winterfest, and Kevin doesn't work on Tuesdays, so he was hard at work at home making holiday tiramisu to sell.
He took a break to fix himself some lunch, and maxed his cooking skill!


Then Mayumi called with an invitation.

Kevin thought about how many tiramisu he had hoped to make today.
Then he thought about what Mayumi had said about dedication, and also days off.

"It's embarrassing, but I really love video games," said Mayumi.

"I do too! Don't be embarrassed," said Kevin.
"Okay, you're on!" said Mayumi.

Kevin enjoyed a good game, but there were some serious gamers here. He was out of his league.

"That was fun! I didn't win either," said Mayumi.
Kevin's mind turned to more serious thoughts as she kissed him

They decided to go into the karaoke bar for a quieter conversation.
"Wow, it's completely dead in here! Everyone must be out at the event. I love it," said Mayumi.

A loud boom startled them. They went back outside to see the rocket ship taking off in a burst of hearts.

Oh, it was this married couple. They look like they had fun.

Mayumi made an extremely awkward rocket ship joke.

And then Kevin tried to say goodbye, but Mayumi wasn't quite getting the message.

Eventually he gave up and let her tag along home with him.

This had not been the plan.
He was supposed to be moved into a nicer house before this moment came.
Also, he was exhausted and sweaty, and truly just wanted a shower and sleep.


"I'm so excited to see where you live!" Mayumi said.
"Uh, do you mind if I shower?" asked Kevin, very embarrassed.

Mayumi spent a few minutes alone with this applesauce.
She looks thrilled. Either that's extremely good applesauce, or she's very happy about being here.

Kevin gritted his teeth and introduced the new girlfriend to the old one.

It went okay. But Kevin could tell Mayumi's social batteries were running low.
"It was nice to meet you, Zoe, goodnight!" Mayumi said, getting her umbrella.

That was okay because Kevin and Zoe had a chance for a conversation they'd never really gotten to have around the end of their relationship. They're doing better now.
