I miss the ability (TS2) to decide which worlds get which seasons and in what order. Few, if any, places on this planet of ours have four evenly lengthed seasons. I've lived in/been stationed at a lot of them, so know from first hand experience the world is not nearly as tidy as EA/Maxis pretends it is.
