Here's some of my unpopular opinions:
This is all I have so far, if I think of more, I may come back.
- Sims 4 has some of the best soundtracks. I listen to TS4 soundtracks all the time. Especially when writing. It's so inspiring. Honestly, TS4 soundtracks are so slept on.
- Sims 4 has the best looking sims and CC isn't a necessity to make good-looking sims. Although, CC definitely enhances the beauty of sims.
- The Sims 4 DLC releases isn't "lackluster" quality in my opinion. Sure, I use some pack content more than others and of course desire for more systems being introduced to elevate our game play, but I don't think there's been a pack that is lackluster. With that being said though, I do wish releases focused on more than just social interactions.
- This is kinda an unpopular opinion but I dunno... I see a mixture: Preteen and Middle Age would've been a nice additional life stages this iteration. I'm the kind of simmer who likes playing my sims for a long time anyway. I always play them with long lifespans.
- I don't see this much discussed, so I'll assume it's unpopular -- lifespans are too short this iteration. Related to the previous unpopular opinion, I always choose the epic lifespan in TS3 because I like playing my sims for a long time.
- Kinda like OP mentioned: I enjoy the relationship statuses. I also enjoy being able to have multiple boyfriends/girlfriends. I once had a family that involved infidelity with a kid in the mix and well, they were on and off so much that they had relationships such as "It's complicated", "Hot and Cold", "Enemies With Benefits" and so on (and despite my sims' breakup period and being enemies with benefits, they both still got jealous whenever they caught the other flirting with someone else).
- I like some of the emotional reactions/interactions such as the "Frenzied Kiss" and whenever your sim is sad/depressed, they can look up obituaries or talk to a "sad hotline" :lol:
