If they want to sell, EA had to adapt to what the average person earns in each country, which means lowering the price in countries where people earn less on average. Theses retailer buy in bulks in these countries and resell the keys to whoever lives in a 40$ country. That way they can still make a margin while offering cheaper prices.
(this, or the other theory saying they get stolen keys they can sell for cheap because, well, it's stolen)
Well I live in a country where a EP is almost 10% of minimum wage but the prices are the same as USA or UK...or pretty much everywhere... I don't know how would EA sell a new product in bundle in such a lower price that a retailer still makes its margin selling at almost half the price. I would understand that for an old product, but not for a new one. They know people, like me, that decide to pre order or buy it in the first day are the people that pay full price.
Anyway, I hope the leaks are true. This is a favorite to me. I just find it weird and hope that doesn't mean that it's a false alarm.
