Upgrading objects

I don't have that in my game. I guess they are just testing the toilet out to make sure the upgrade works? lol.

I also don't get any autonomous upgrades ever or any more queuing up after the first one. If you take all their upgrade parts away, it would be so funny if they autonomously ordered more on the computer and kept going working on those appliances. :lol:

I hope you can solve the mystery though.

hahah @Elliandre them ordering parts by themselves would be handy (no pun intended). That way I didn't have to pay attention to what parts they need for any upgrade.

And yes, still a mystery it seems. My scientist came home from work in a confident mood. I tell him to go use the toilet and then upgrade it with a bidet. Almost as soon as he starts the upgrade, he adds "Pee like a champion" to his queue. He just went, his bar is absolutely fully green, its not necessary to go again :| I remove the action, it almost instantly pops back in queue.

I've tried to search AHQ for it, but its difficult for me to find anything, because I don't really know what words to use in the search. Its such a vague "issue", I can't find a spesific term for it.

I have the issue you are experiencing also. I just click out of it, I think once I just let him pee, lol. Since that is the only thing about upgrading the toilet, I mostly ignore it. It could have something to do with MCCC's autonomous menu too. I only have autonomous repairs but not upgrades enabled.

Yeah, I never have autonomous upgrades, ever. BUT, I think I got another theory why this is happening. I always have the same four NAP's in every 'hood I play (because they are the least obnoxious). Self-sufficiency and Eco-friendly appliances are two of them. I'm thinking one of those will make sims upgrade (or pee, as it were....) stuff autonomously. Why only dishwashers and toilets, I don't know. I'll keep testing (or rather, my sim will).

There's a NAP that encourages autonomous upgrading, is that active in your save?

I'm using two that deal with handiness, Self-sufficiency and Eco-friendly appliances (the other two are Green gardening and Upcycling). I have the least amount of nonsense with those, so I pick them in all the neighbourhoods I play in. And sometimes in 'hoods I visit a lot, like those with festivals.

The NAP's never occurred to me at all, but of course, that could be the reason.

If you have the upcycling initiative enabled, that behaviour is normal.

I'm not a fan of NAPs in general, but I have enabled that specific one in one neighborhood I recently played.

Yeah, not a fan either, but at least I can live with the ones I use :) When the thought hit me that it was NAP related, it kind of settled in my mind. Just found it odd that the sim would queue up to use the toilet when upgrading it.

Testing the upgrade, I suppose.
