I thought that a vamp + a human would have 50/50 chance of having a vamp or human child. But so far, all my vamp+human couples only had vamp children. Is this correct? In CAS I tested a bit with genetics, and found that if the active parent was vamp, all children made with human partner would be vamp. If active was human, all children made with vamp were vamps. I assume it's not that simple in game, because waiting to find out whether the child is vamp or human should actually be quite essential in story telling.Were I just unlucky? If all kids will be vamps if just one parent is vamp, I must stop them reproducing, as I don't want to fill up my worlds with vamps. filling the worlds with humans who are related to vamps would be cool, though... like a couple just having twins, one in normal crib and one in vamp crib, so I thought it would be the start of a super interesting story. But when I checked them in CAS they were both vamps... such a disappointment...

I'm unsure - but to throw some extra confusion into the mix, my spellcaster had a child with a vampire on a lot with the dark ley line lot trait, and the kid was a spellcaster. Could have just been bad luck though.

I've always thought it was 50/50 chance. In my current game Caleb Vatore had 2 children with a spellcaster and both kids are spellcasters and not vamps. He then had 3 kids with a regular human that resulted in human, human, vamp; and then he had another kid with another human (yeah, he gets around LOL!) and it was a vamp. In another game I played with a vampire guy he married a human and they had three kids: 1 human, 1 vamp, and 1 alien (from his own pregnancy after an abduction). A nice variety! :smiley:

I already have 300+ humans in my game, so I really hope there is no such balancing thing - like giving priority to vampire births until they are 10% of the population...? Ha, probably not a good idea.I'll need to give birth restrictions to my little vampire community. From now on only 1 offspring per vampire or thy will be tied to a fence in the morning on a sunny day... muha!

Ah, I'll check the lot traits...

Edit: The latest house had no lot traits at all...

Nope, at 3 AM I had to call it a night, LOL. Both will ive birth today, though. i'll share.

i think it is 50/50. ive had both human and vamps when i have a human vampire couple. but its been awhile since ive had any of them try for a baby. but hopefully youll get a human sim soon born into the game.
