It really bugs me how rare they are too. I just had one sim who vampires love and has had a crazy 5 breakins in around 10 sim weeks. She lives alone in a city apartment so maybe that helped. Vlad came twice, caleb once and 2 other vampires i made came also. She was good friends with only 1 of them and didnt know the others. Apartments seem the best for vampire visits. Or have a vampire as a roommate - you get attacked everytime they get hungry.
I think single sims living alone have the best chance as long as they’re in bed before midnight because there’s almost no chance another sim will wake up and disrupt the break-in.
