They just need to get rid of most of that garbage. My sims home is not a community center. Visitors should call before coming over and ask before entering the house. Random groups should not just drop by unannounced. The welcome thing just needs to go and stay gone.
If you have City Living, put the Private Dwelling lot designation on your home lot; that takes care of random visitors showing up. (I had Eliza Pancakes at my house almost every day before I put that lot trait on the house; now the only person who comes over is my Sim's young adult daughter and she calls first anyway.)

The only cure for this is another mod I am afraid. The MCCC mod allows you to have a friendly version of Ask to Leave
It does?!? Where can I find that one please - never noticed it, tried to look for it but can't seem to get to it... thanks :)
And @Jaline33
I do apologise. I can't find it either. I think I'm must be going nuts. I am absolutely sure it was in there. There is another mod that does it, but sadly it is out of date.
No worries. I just spent a long time trying to find MCCC on MTS - and I can't find it either because I can't remember the real words for parts of the anagram. I wanted to subscribe to it so I can monitor how updates do vs patches and other game expansions, etc.
MCCC is MC Command Center; if you search for MC Command it should be the first result that pops up.
Thanks so much @stilljustme2 and I apologize for the delay. My Internet went down last weekend and due to scheduling conflicts I only got it fixed today. I spent some time this evening reading info on about half of the various modules for MC Command Center and it definitely sounds like something I will install at some point. I also subscribed to the mod page to further observe updates and changes before committing. That's not the only reason, though. I have been holding off on adding mods or CC to get a clearer idea of what the vanilla version of the game offers and how it responds to EP's, GP's, SP's, etc. I will definitely be adding this particular mod down the road. I like a lot of the options it offers.
