NAY - they are leaning more AR in the Sims. Free Play already touched a bit of AR.
That is not discounting though i am pretty sure they may lean a bit more on VR in some of their other games. But you never know - just looking at their general interview and blog chatter with the new systems coming to EA and all, through the Atlas/ SEED program they' ve been developing the last 7/8 years.... for their triple A games. VR is more in line with some of those than the Sims - where as the Sims would be nice with AR and real world stuff like maps etc zapped right into existence in our game like magic. That could be mind boggling but with out the motion sickness that VR delivers a lot of us poor souls.
Can you imagine wanting a brand new world added to your game and instantly getting it - and being able to play it and lock it into your game. Look at all the places we could go and things we could do.... That i could get behind 100 percent. VR not at all. VR on computer sits in your central nervous system - unlike real travel - it cannot be focused out or medically fixed - not a great idea for computer use no matter how cool it looks - serious downsides for people who already have legit medical issues with VR, but not at all in AR.
