I don't think you understand, you LITERALLY cannot avoid this. Within 2 sim hours your lot will be filthy and generating thousands of simoleons automatically. Nothing you do can prevent this, short of vacuuming 3 times a day.
Most people don't want the dust bunnies removed, they want them balanced and not literally game breaking.
Mostly, for me, the Lots can be hoovered to perfection once a day to be kept clean and then I get no bunnies. During the night it will start showing thin dirty layers on the floors (not piles of dirt), so my sims hoover to perfection the next morning and all is clean again :)
But I did notice that in a Tiny Residential it got a little dirtier faster and the bunnies appeared without a great deal of dirt being around. They brought in a steady stream of money without me interacting with them; this was around $30 - $80 per time. I only got really valuable stuff if I actually asked them to go find, and they did this without befriending them or being in a happy mood. I got the frog artefact that was worth $8000.
I don't remember them stating in the livestream that money would magically appear for us - I only remember them telling us about the sending them to hunt option. If this is the case, they didn't really give us the full facts before purchase, as I would have thought twice about it. It seems too much like cheating to me and I never cheat money into my game. I like my sims to work hard for their cash, not get given it for doing nothing.
@Rouensims maybe they don't expect people to have 'rooms' outside? I tend to build my outdoor areas without being fully enclosed, so they are not classed as rooms and have had no dirt appearing. But I think you can just hoover inside the house and it will clear the entire level (including the outdoors) if you hoover for long enough. I certainly wouldn't want to have to send my sims to hoover outside - immersion breaking!
