If they took out the autonomous money finding and left it so the bunnies only find cash & treasure when you specifically ask that’s essentially a toggle. Then just decrease the chances they find Omiscan treasure or other super valuable items to like 1/50 and that should essentially solve that problem. Because you can get free money with Laundry day too if you choose the ‘search pockets’ option on the hamper. But it’s totally optional, granted though you never find more than a few simoleans, and I have never heard of anyone finding an $8,000 gold frog...not that that wouldn’t be kind of fun once in awhile.
