I disagree - I think it’s amazing for inclusivity. I think not drawing attention to the fact she’s trans whilst using the family in all the promo for the pack is great - they weren’t drawn into tokenism for publicity. You only find out if you’re playing the family and take the time to get to know them by scratching the surface of who they are. If you’re only interacting with them on a surface level it’s not relevant. It only becomes relevant when you’re playing from their POV. Plus it’s creating characters with rich and interesting back stories. Love it!
I agree with you, I'm someone who likes to create my own neighbourhoods but I feel that Pre-Mades should have things that you get to discover. I'm all for inclusivity and things like adoption/having children are real life decisions for LGBTQ+ families. I feel the fact we are discovering Celestes past through *gameplay* and not through flagpole hollow promotion makes me proud. ??️??️⚧️
LGBTQ+ matters aside I miss the days in Sims 2 when you had to factor in a Sims aspirations and interests over just finding a random premade and everything being open to you. Really hope this townie update really looks into these new options to finetune all households pre Growing Together.
For those that want to tell their own stories that's cool too, I've spent years fine tuning premades to tell *my* stories. That's the beauty of customisation.
Also worth noting that Celestes office has one of the LGBTQ+ paintings and the colour scheme there is based on the trans pride flag.
