My Sim is trying to top the social media career and one of the requirements is 25,000,000 followers. :# While I'm certain that he can eventually reach that number thanks to Viral Videos, I still think the follower quota is ridiculously high.

I've tried the social media career a few times and always found the number of followers way too high. I'm struggling just to get 1000.

@Obscurus and @faith4jesus, I thought this as well, until I figured out the ways that gain the most followers. Have your sim travel and while out, use your phone to "make a shoutout from...." wherever you're at. You can do this multiple times while at the same venue, I think it's like once an hour. And that gets you lots of followers. After doing this a bunch of times, I realized the number one way to gain followers is actually live streaming a video game (using the computer or gaming console). That gets you A LOT and before you know it, you've reached the goal or even surpassed it :smile: and a secret to it is to have them start livestreaming, then cancel the action right away and have them live stream again, rinse and repeat. It gives you the same large amount of followers every time with no waiting period. My sim reached the top of the social media career this way. Happy simming!

I agree getting followers is hard, but I don't mind a bit of struggle really.Thanks for the shoutout tip @mariah6194! I thought maybe there was a trick I didn't know.

@Summerjase ,I don't remember what the branch is called, but it's about becoming internet famous. I send my Sim to work and never work from home. And yeah, I use those Viral Videos to get about 1M follower boost each time. There's still 12,500,000 followers missing. :| Oh well. We're getting there slowly but surely.

I did the Public Relations branch (haven't done the other one yet) and the follower requirement was lower but still pretty tough. I like a challenge though.
