It was my toddlers birthday into a child, and after she aged up I got a bunch of pop ups saying that her grown living-away-from-home siblings had sent her gifts in the mail! I haven't played more and seen the gifts yet but it made me so happy. Adult sims do get presents, my young adult sims recently aged up to a young adult and she received the message that she will get gifts from both of her parents. I'm unsure of what the gift is at the moment as they haven't received it yet :)

Oh I love that they added this! My toddler that aged up got three new toys in the mail. Spoiled rotten. Hope one day they will add back the gifting for weddings as well!

Great!

About time gifts returned - because we could sell them and keep the money.

Weddings in TS3 used to get you thousands and thousands in gifts - you could get a grand piano and tons of other things - probably $10k+ worth of them.

My sim's son aged up to a toddler and his brother (the toddler's uncle whom he's never met) sent him a toy car in the mail! It was so sweet~ :)

When my sim's mother aged up to elder, her sister and three eldest children said they were going to send something in the mail, but nothing ever showed up. I think that's because they moved right afterward though...
