Normally what I do with the coffee situation is cancel the action after they've intially started making coffee. It's a hassle having to do that but it gets the job done just in case my sim needs to use the bathroom or their baby is crying and needs attention right away. The coffee or tea continues to brew and my simgets other things done while they "wait" lol but I agree with the the comment about not wanting to multitask in the morning before a cup of coffee lol.
